Very Important Annoucement from December 29, 2009

Dear Retiree,

Following up on previous communications regarding consultations for the establishment of a system for payment of US Dollar pensions in the local currency of the country in which the retiree resides, we are enclosing  a  document.  Such document has been prepared by the Secretariat of the SRP, at the request of the Administration Committee.  The document, sent to you in both English and Spanish, presents three alternatives. We hope to be able to send you, very soon, a survey to collect your opinions about the alternatives.  The survey will be sent to you, as soon as its content has been authorized by the Administration Committee.  Regarding the  document sent to you, please bear in mind that the original is in English, being the Spanish version a translation by the Association of Retirees. Therefore,  in the event of any doubt,  the English version prevails.  We would like to point out that although additional proposals or considerations might come in the future; the consultation under way refers to the three specific alternatives outlined in the document. We thank you for giving your consideration to this document.
